Photo Collage Maker

How to use this

What it does

Places 2 to 9 photos into a layout — side by side, stacked, a 4, 6 or 9 grid, or one big photo with smaller ones — on a canvas sized for a square or portrait post, a story or a landscape slide. Each photo is cropped to fill its space without stretching, and you can move the crop of any photo.

What you'll need

  • 2 to 9 photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP; HEIC where your browser opens it)

Steps

  1. Choose the photos.
  2. Pick a layout and a size; set the gap, border and background.
  3. Tap a photo's thumbnail to move its framing, use the arrows to change the order, then download.

Reading the result

The preview shows the collage at the size it will be saved. Photos fill the spaces in order, left to right and top to bottom; the first photo takes the big space in the big-plus-small layouts.

Tips

  • Portrait 4:5 takes up the most room in the Instagram and Facebook feeds.
  • A small white gap makes a grid read as separate photos; no gap makes it one picture.
  • Put your strongest photo first — it gets the big space.

What makes a good photo collage?

A collage tells one story with several photos: a day, a before and after, the details of one place. It works best with photos that share a colour palette or a subject, and with one clear lead photo.

Every photo here is cropped to fill its space at the same scale, so nothing is squashed. The download is a JPEG at the size you picked, ready to post.

Why creators use collages

A collage gets several photos into one post where a carousel isn't possible (a story, a link preview, a single-image post) and shows a set at a glance.

Common mistakes

  • Too many small photos. nine photos in a story-sized image are each tiny on a phone.
  • Faces cut at the edge. tap the photo and move its framing so heads aren't cropped.
  • Mixed colours. photos from different light can look busy side by side.

FAQ

Is there a watermark?
No. The collage is yours, made on this page, with nothing added.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. They're opened and combined in your browser and never leave your device.
What size should a collage be for Instagram?
Portrait 4:5 (1080 × 1350) fills the most of the feed; a square works too, and 9:16 is for stories. The Social Image Sizes guide lists each platform's published sizes.
