A carousel is a single social media post that holds several photos or videos that people swipe through, like slides.
Cut a panorama into carousel slides that line up.

A carousel tells a whole story in one post: a before and after, the steps of a recipe, ten photos from one wedding.
Instagram allows up to 20 slides and crops every slide to the shape of the first one, so mixing portrait and landscape photos means some get cut. A panorama can be split across slides so it reads as one wide image as people swipe.
A landscape photographer splits a wide sunrise panorama into three 4:5 slides that line up edge to edge.
On the profile grid only the first slide shows, but in the feed people swipe across the whole view, and the post gets more saves than her single-image posts.
