A hashtag is a word or phrase written after a # sign, with no spaces, that turns into a link grouping posts on the same subject so people can find them.
Get hashtags from your own words, with each platform's limit.

Hashtags help people who don't follow you find a post by its subject, place or community. Each platform now limits or discourages large sets: Instagram's Help Centre says up to 5 per post, YouTube ignores every hashtag on a video that has more than 60, Threads takes 1 topic tag per post, and X recommends no more than 2.
A few specific tags about what is actually in the photo work better than a long generic list.
A wedding photographer in Lisbon used to paste 30 tags under every post. Now she adds 5 on Instagram: #lisbonwedding, #portugalweddingphotographer, the venue's own tag, #elopementportugal and #weddingphotography.
They describe the post and the place her clients search for, and they fit Instagram's current limit.
