Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 October 2026. The billing terms in sections 7, 8 and 14 apply from 1 October 2026.

1. About CAPTD

CAPTD is an AI-powered social media content generation platform operated by Marco Obinu, a sole trader, at 9 Old Court Mill, Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland. By using this service you agree to these terms in full.

2. Use of the Service

You must be at least 18 years old to use CAPTD. This is a requirement of the Google Gemini API terms, which we rely on to generate captions, hashtags and alt text. You are responsible for all content you upload or generate using this platform. You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose or to generate content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes third-party rights.

3. Restricted Territories

CAPTD is not available in every country. We do not offer the service in the territories listed on our Restricted Territories page, and access from those territories is blocked. You may not access, or attempt to access, CAPTD from a territory where we do not offer it, or on behalf of any person or entity located in one. That list may change when our providers' own lists change.

4. Sanctions Compliance

You confirm that you are not named on any sanctions list maintained by the European Union, the United Nations, the United Kingdom or the United States, and that you are not owned or controlled by, nor acting on behalf of, any person or entity that is. CAPTD is not offered to the Government of the Russian Federation or to entities established in Russia, to Belarusian state bodies, or to entities established in the occupied regions of Ukraine. We may refuse or withdraw access where we are required to do so.

5. No Circumvention

You may not use a VPN, proxy, relay or any other means of disguising your location to reach CAPTD where it is not offered, and you may not ask another person to use the service on your behalf for that purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts used in this way, and we will do so where the law requires it. If you believe you have been restricted in error, contact us at captionflow.app@gmail.com.

6. Accounts

CAPTD does not require signup, login, or an email address to use the Free plan — an anonymous session is created automatically in your browser. This session is tied to your device and browser storage; if you clear your browser data or switch devices, you will not be able to recover your usage history or any remaining paid credits linked to that session, and we cannot restore it. If you create an account and sign in, your credits and History follow your account across devices. If you provide an email address for a paid plan or support request, you are responsible for keeping access to that email address. You may not create multiple sessions or accounts to circumvent usage limits.

7. Plans, Payments and Renewals

Who you buy from. All payments for CAPTD are taken by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase. That means your contract of sale is with Lemon Squeezy as authorised reseller, and Lemon Squeezy is responsible for the checkout, for calculating and remitting any sales tax or VAT that applies where you are, for your invoice and receipt, and for processing refunds and chargebacks. CAPTD remains responsible for the service itself and for the licence to use the content you generate. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's own Buyer Terms, which you accept at their checkout.

Prices. All prices are shown in EUR on our Pricing page. Any sales tax or VAT that applies is calculated and added by Lemon Squeezy at checkout, so the amount you are charged may be higher than the listed price depending on where you are. We may change published prices at any time; a change never affects a one-time purchase you have already made, and for subscriptions it takes effect from your next renewal, with at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app notice before that renewal.

One-time Content Pack purchases. The Starter, Creator and Pro plans, and the Bulk variants of Creator and Pro, are single payments, not subscriptions. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. The credits you buy are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and any credits still unused when that period ends expire and are not refunded or carried over. Credits are counted against the purchase they came from, so if you buy a second pack before the first expires you hold both, and each keeps its own expiry date. Add-ons (Creator Suite, Marketing workspace) are also single payments and remain active for as long as you hold unexpired credits.

Subscriptions. The Solo and Studio plans are subscriptions, available on a monthly or an annual billing cycle at the prices shown on our Pricing page. Both cycles carry a monthly generation allowance — 175 Content Packs a month on Solo and 300 on Studio — including on annual plans, which are billed once a year but release the same allowance each month rather than a single yearly pot. The allowance resets at the start of each billing month and unused packs do not roll over into the next one.

Renewal and cancellation. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time, either from the customer portal linked in your Lemon Squeezy receipt or by emailing us at captionflow.app@gmail.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for. You keep your plan and the remaining allowance for that period, and both end when the period does — see section 14 for refunds and your right of withdrawal.

Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Lemon Squeezy will retry it in line with its own dunning process. If it ultimately fails, the subscription ends and your account returns to the Free plan described in section 8. Your generation history is not deleted when that happens.

8. Free Plan

CAPTD can be used without paying. The Free plan gives every account 10 Content Pack generations for the lifetime of the account. That allowance is not a monthly one: it does not reset, refresh or renew, and once you have used all 10 you need a paid plan to generate again.

Within that allowance the Free plan is limited to:

  • Instagram only — other platforms require a paid plan.
  • The Snapshot workspace, plus one Video generation and one Slideshow generation, each available once ever rather than once per period.
  • No batch upload — one photo at a time.
  • No add-ons, and no AI Photography Assistant. The Assistant tools that run entirely in your browser stay free and unlimited on every plan, including this one; only the three tools that send a photo to Google Gemini for analysis require Creator or above (section 11).
  • No signup, login or email address required — an anonymous session is created in your browser, subject to section 6.

The free public beta that ran before paid plans launched has ended. Accounts created during the beta are on this same Free plan, and beta usage was not carried over: every account began with its full 10 free generations when paid plans went live, whatever it had used before. We do not grandfather beta accounts onto a paid tier.

A single administrator account, operated by us, is exempt from these limits so that we can test and support the service. It is not an account that can be requested or purchased. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Free plan, or to change its limits, at any time with reasonable notice; a change to the Free plan never reduces an allowance you have already paid for.

9. Marketing Workspace

The Marketing workspace is a dedicated part of CAPTD that generates promotional, business-focused content (captions, hashtags, and a call-to-action line) based on the marketing profile details you provide, such as target audience, product or service, campaign goal, key message, call to action, offer, and brand tone. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any claims, offers, or pricing you enter, and for ensuring generated content complies with advertising standards and platform rules in your jurisdiction. The Marketing workspace is bundled with the Solo and Studio plans and is available as a paid add-on on Pro. It is not available on the Free, Starter or Creator plans, with or without the add-on — see our Pricing page.

10. Slideshow Workspace

The Slideshow workspace is a dedicated part of CAPTD that generates a caption for each individual slide in a multi-photo or multi-video slideshow post (up to 10 slides, with per-platform limits and photo/video restrictions — see our FAQ), alongside one overall caption for the post as a whole. You are responsible for reviewing every slide caption before publishing, including on platforms where per-slide captions are a newer feature and may not be available or may behave differently depending on the platform, your account type, and your region. The Slideshow workspace is bundled with the Creator, Pro, Solo and Studio plans. The Free plan includes one Slideshow generation, once only (section 8), and the Starter plan does not include the workspace at all — see our Pricing page.

11. AI Photography Assistant

The AI Photography Assistant is an optional set of tools, separate from Content Pack generation, for analysing your own photos. All of its tools except three run entirely in your browser and never send your photo anywhere; these stay free and unlimited on every plan. The three exceptions — Composition Analysis, Scene Recognition and Editing Suggestions — require you to confirm the consent notice shown on those tool pages before each analysis, which we record (see our Privacy Policy), then send your photo to Google Gemini for AI analysis. These three are limited to 30 combined analyses per month across all three. Photos uploaded for these three tools are deleted from our storage once the analysis completes and are not kept in your generation history. The three AI-vision tools are bundled with the Creator, Pro, Solo and Studio plans; they are not available on the Free or Starter plans, and are not sold separately as an add-on — see our Pricing page.

12. AI-Generated Content

Captions, hashtags and alt text are generated using Google Gemini, and are provided for informational and creative purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or suitability of generated content. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before you publish it on any platform, including meeting any platform rule or legal requirement to disclose that content was generated with AI. Generated content is licensed to you for personal and commercial use — you retain full ownership of content you create using this service.

13. Intellectual Property

The CAPTD name, logo, interface, and underlying technology are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform. Content you upload remains your property at all times.

14. Cancellations, Refunds and Your Right of Withdrawal

Cancelling. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, as described in section 7. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you are currently in: you keep the plan and its remaining allowance until then, and there is no pro-rata refund for unused time or unused packs within that period. One-time Content Pack purchases do not renew, so there is nothing to cancel; their credits simply expire 6 months after purchase.

The EU/EEA 14-day right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. Digital content is treated differently under EU consumer law: by Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU that right is lost once supply of the digital content has begun, provided you gave your prior express consent to it beginning and acknowledged that you would lose the right. Lemon Squeezy's checkout obtains exactly that consent: its Buyer Terms state that by acquiring the product you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once transmission of the digital content has begun.

What that means in practice for CAPTD. Your credits and plan access are released immediately after payment, so supply begins at once. We treat the first generation you run against a purchase as the point at which supply has begun. So:

  • Nothing used, within 14 days — if you have not used a single credit from the purchase, contact us within 14 days of the purchase and we will ask Lemon Squeezy to refund it in full. We will not treat your right of withdrawal as lost on the basis of the checkout consent alone while the purchase is genuinely unused.
  • Once a credit has been used — the withdrawal right no longer applies to that purchase and it is non-refundable, including any credits from it that you have not yet used and any remaining part of a subscription period.

How refunds are made. Because Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record (section 7), it issues every refund and does so under its own Buyer Terms, at its discretion and case by case; we cannot refund a payment ourselves. Where a request meets the terms above we will support it with Lemon Squeezy on your behalf. Refunds are returned to the original payment method, and any credits or plan access from a refunded purchase stop immediately.

If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at captionflow.app@gmail.com within 14 days of the charge. Nothing in this section limits any statutory right you have as a consumer in your country of residence, including your rights where the service is faulty or not as described.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish and EU law, CAPTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

16. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account and data at any time yourself with “Delete my data” on our Privacy Policy page, or by contacting us at captionflow.app@gmail.com.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. If you are an EU consumer you also retain the rights granted to you under the laws of your country of residence.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify existing users of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
